Jubilant Bhartia Group to Buy 40% of HCCB for $1.4B
Hello,
Markets reached record highs yesterday but closed with modest gains as investors engaged in profit booking. This rally was driven by the US Fed's decision to cut interest rates.
In a separate development, the central government has directed the Maharashtra government to take action concerning the alleged death of an EY employee attributed to work-related stress. Additionally, a recent report highlights that nearly 50% of India's public infrastructure is at risk due to climate change and urbanization. In corporate news, the Jubilant Bhartia Group is poised to acquire up to 40% of Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages for $1.4 billion.
As of 19/09/24

This came amid positive global sentiment following a 50 bps rate cut by the US Fed, with indications of further cuts ahead.
